in a god-breathed universe there can be no sacred-secular divide -
a fine excuse for theological ramblings on film, culture, politics
and anything else, for that matter

travelling
if you're about in southern california at the end of next week, we'd love to see you at soliton. if not, then why not become the first person to add a comment to this nascent blog, written in a jet-lagged state in the hope that some life will come of it.
i'm from belfast, northern ireland, but now live in north carolina. i'm a writer involved in peace and justice issues, and art & spirituality (especially cinema). i'm writing here because i care about good conversation, and postmodern theology has changed my life. what are we here to talk about? let's start with god, movies, and politics, and see where we go from here...
I speak to and facilitate groups on a range of topics - my interests include understanding violence and practising non-violence, peace-building and addressing conflict, film & television and spirituality, theology and sexuality, and other questions of radical Christian spirituality. From small-group facilitation to large plenary gatherings, I try to bring a distinctive style and practical experience of working in northern Ireland and of postmodern Christian spirituality and practice. Email garethspeaks@hotmail.com to get the conversation going.
